Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledgers, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations
- Process payroll, expense reports, and vendor invoices using QuickBooks Online
- Assist with month-end closing procedures and financial statement preparation
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and IRS regulations for all transactions
- Support audits by organizing financial documentation and responding to inquiries
- Implement process improvements to enhance accounting efficiency
- Collaborate with senior accountants on financial analysis and forecasting
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software
- Strong numerical aptitude with exceptional attention to detail
- Basic understanding of GAAP principles and tax regulations
- Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage deadlines
- Effective written and verbal communication abilities
- Proactive problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn
- 1-2 years of bookkeeping or internship experience preferred
