Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledgers and reconcile bank/credit card statements monthly
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage vendor invoicing cycles
- Prepare monthly financial statements and support tax preparation workflows
- Utilize QuickBooks Online for data entry and financial reporting
- Assist with payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements
- Communicate financial insights clearly to non-finance stakeholders
- Implement internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP standards
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (or equivalent experience)
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables)
- Strong understanding of double-entry accounting principles
- Exceptional attention to detail with numerical accuracy
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in fast-paced environments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- 1-2 years of bookkeeping internship or volunteer experience preferred
