Key Responsibilities
As an Entry Level Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the financial records of our clients. Your daily tasks will include:
Responsibilities
- Process and verify daily invoices for accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions monthly.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger records using QuickBooks or Xero.
- Prepare and file necessary tax documents and compliance paperwork.
- Perform basic financial analysis to help identify trends and variances.
- Assist the senior accounting team with year-end audits.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus).
- Basic knowledge of bookkeeping principles and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to spot errors quickly.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to learn new accounting software and technologies.
