Responsibilities
- Invoice Processing: Review, verify, and process incoming invoices from vendors with a high degree of accuracy and adherence to company policies.
- Vendor Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors regarding billing inquiries, discrepancies, and payment status.
- Data Entry & Maintenance: Maintain and update the accounts payable database, ensuring all financial records are current and error-free.
- Reconciliation: Assist in reconciling vendor statements and resolving any outstanding variances or errors in a timely manner.
- Reporting Support: Prepare monthly and weekly reports related to accounts payable activity to assist the Finance Manager with month-end close procedures.
- System Management: Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) to input data and generate checks or electronic payments.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience: No prior accounting experience required; we provide on-the-job training for motivated candidates.
- Technical Skills: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel (vlookup, formulas) is a plus.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with internal teams and external vendors.
- Integrity: Strong ethical standards and the ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality.
