Responsibilities
- Process and verify invoices from vendors to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Review and match purchase orders, receiving reports, and invoices for discrepancies.
- Prepare and distribute weekly and monthly vendor statements.
- Reconcile accounts payable sub-ledgers and assist in month-end close procedures.
- Respond to vendor inquiries regarding invoices and payment status in a timely manner.
- Maintain organized electronic and physical files of all accounts payable documents.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
- Basic to intermediate computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel is essential).
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to spot errors in data entry.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and general ledger functions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
