Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and reconciliation of monthly financial statements and general ledger accounts.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and within strict deadlines.
- Support the annual audit process by gathering, organizing, and verifying financial documentation.
- Perform daily bank reconciliations and maintain accurate accounting records.
- Assist in the preparation of tax documents and quarterly financial reports for management review.
- Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) to track expenses and manage budgets.
- Collaborate with the team to identify process improvements and ensure compliance with GAAP standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or currently pursuing a degree with expected graduation within 6 months).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel required.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to detect errors in data.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards (GAAP).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
