Responsibilities
- General Ledger Management: Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and timely.
- Financial Reporting: Support the month-end and year-end close processes by compiling and analyzing financial data.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process invoices, verify expenses, and ensure timely payments to vendors and collection of receivables.
- Reconciliation: Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations to ensure financial discrepancies are resolved immediately.
- Compliance: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations and compliance standards.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Academic Standing: Recent graduate (Class of 2023/2024) with a strong GPA (3.0+).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP). Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or SAP) is a plus.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with clients and colleagues professionally.
