Responsibilities
- Assist with daily accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Perform bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations monthly.
- Support the month-end and year-end closing processes by preparing journal entries and adjusting entries.
- Maintain and organize financial records and ledgers in compliance with GAAP standards.
- Prepare basic financial reports, such as balance sheets and income statements, for management review.
- Respond to vendor and customer inquiries regarding invoices and account status.
- Assist with the annual audit preparation and document requests.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 0-2 years of experience in accounting, finance, or a similar administrative role.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables are a plus).
- Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage is highly desirable.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work well in a fast-paced team environment.
