Responsibilities
- Assist with daily bookkeeping: Perform data entry and maintain accurate ledgers for various clients.
- Account Reconciliation: Review and reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare basic financial reports, spreadsheets, and summaries for management review.
- Support Month-End Close: Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes by gathering necessary documentation.
- Document Management: File, organize, and retrieve financial documents and invoices efficiently.
- Payroll Support: Assist in the processing and verification of payroll data (as needed).
- Inquiry Resolution: Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding account status and billing.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred but not mandatory.
- Math Skills: Strong aptitude for numbers and basic accounting principles.
- Software Proficiency: Basic computer skills with a focus on Microsoft Office Suite (Excel is a plus).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors and ensure accuracy in data entry.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Work Ethic: Self-motivated individual with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliability: Punctual and consistent attendance is required.
