Responsibilities
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process invoices, verify accuracy, and ensure timely payments to vendors while maintaining accurate records.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accounted for and discrepancies are resolved.
- General Ledger Support: Assist in the maintenance of the general ledger, including posting journal entries and updating accounts.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare basic financial statements and reports for management review.
- Record Keeping: Organize and maintain physical and electronic filing systems for financial documents.
- Compliance: Assist in ensuring the company complies with federal, state, and local financial regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or currently pursuing CPA certification).
- Experience: 0-2 years of relevant experience or internship experience in accounting or finance.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups).
- Software: Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or SAP) is a plus.
- Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
