Responsibilities
- Month-End Close Support: Assist the senior accounting team with the month-end and year-end closing processes, including accruals and adjustments.
- Reconciliation: Perform daily bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure data accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, ledgers, and supporting schedules in accordance with GAAP.
- General Ledger: Process journal entries and maintain the general ledger system for various client accounts.
- Documentation: Organize and maintain a comprehensive filing system for financial records, invoices, and contracts.
- Audit Support: Provide documentation and support during internal and external audit processes.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Experience: No prior professional experience required; internship or academic project experience is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP). Familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) is highly desirable.
- Knowledge: Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
