Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Perform general ledger reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of all financial data entries.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate recording.
- Support the month-end and year-end closing processes by collecting necessary documentation and schedules.
- Assist in the external audit process by providing requested schedules and explanations to auditors.
- Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite) to maintain organized and up-to-date records.
- Conduct basic financial analysis to identify trends and assist in budget preparation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (0-2 years of experience preferred).
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to spot discrepancies in data quickly.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting findings to management.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a fast-paced team environment.
