Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts: Handle full-cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
- Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and credit card statements to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including balance sheets and profit & loss statements.
- General Ledger: Maintain the general ledger and ensure all journal entries are posted correctly.
- Payroll Support: Process payroll entries and assist with payroll tax filings to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Software Proficiency: Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) to track financial data and generate reports.
- Compliance: Support the month-end and year-end close processes and assist with audits when required.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is preferred.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks Online or Xero is highly required; strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) are mandatory.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy and the ability to spot errors in financial data.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with team members and vendors.
- Organization: Strong time-management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Basic understanding of GAAP and tax compliance regulations.
