In this role, you will gain hands-on experience in financial reporting, bookkeeping, and assisting with audits. You will work closely with senior accountants to ensure accuracy in financial records and contribute to the overall financial health of our organization.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial statements and general ledger accounts.
- Perform daily bank reconciliations and monitor accounts payable and receivable.
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes by gathering and organizing data.
- Conduct routine data entry and ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately.
- Assist in the preparation of tax documents and compliance filings under supervision.
- Reconcile credit card statements and resolve any discrepancies.
- Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) to manage financial data.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or currently pursuing a degree).
- Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles and GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
