Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L).
- Perform daily accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Support the external audit process by gathering and organizing financial documentation.
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax returns.
- Maintain and update the company's fixed asset register and internal accounting policies.
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, or NetSuite) to maintain accurate records.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 0-2 years of experience (or internship experience) in an accounting or finance role.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and accounting software.
- Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
