Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial statements and general ledger accounts.
- Perform daily bookkeeping duties, including accounts payable and receivable processing.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions to ensure accuracy.
- Support the internal audit process by gathering and organizing financial data.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual tax filings.
- Review invoices and expense reports for compliance with company policies.
- Communicate effectively with team members and external clients regarding financial inquiries.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or currently pursuing a degree).
- Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables preferred).
- Basic understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Eagerness to learn and grow within the accounting profession.
