Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of general ledger accounts and financial statements.
- Process and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and on time.
- Support the monthly and year-end closing processes by gathering and analyzing data.
- Perform bank reconciliations and ensure compliance with internal controls.
- Prepare and file tax documents under the supervision of senior staff.
- Assist with the month-end reporting package to management.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records and filing systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
