Responsibilities

  • Assist with Month-End and Year-End Close: Support the finance team in preparing financial statements, adjusting entries, and ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, verify accuracy, and manage the posting of payments and collections.
  • Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure all transactions are accounted for and discrepancies are resolved.
  • General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain accurate records in the general ledger system and assist in coding and classifying financial transactions.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare routine reports and spreadsheets to assist in the analysis of financial performance.
  • Compliance & Documentation: Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations by maintaining organized and up-to-date financial documentation.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or currently pursuing a CPA certification).
  • Experience: 0-2 years of experience in an accounting role, internship experience preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite).
  • Knowledge: Understanding of GAAP principles and basic accounting concepts.
  • Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly.
