You will work closely with senior accountants and management to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial data. Responsibilities
- Assist with Month-End and Year-End Close: Support the finance team in preparing financial statements, adjusting entries, and ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, verify accuracy, and manage the posting of payments and collections.
- Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure all transactions are accounted for and discrepancies are resolved.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain accurate records in the general ledger system and assist in coding and classifying financial transactions.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare routine reports and spreadsheets to assist in the analysis of financial performance.
- Compliance & Documentation: Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations by maintaining organized and up-to-date financial documentation.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or currently pursuing a CPA certification).
- Experience: 0-2 years of experience in an accounting role, internship experience preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite).
- Knowledge: Understanding of GAAP principles and basic accounting concepts.
- Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly.
- Work Ethic: Self-motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced team environment.
