Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, balance sheets, and income reports
- Assist with month-end closing procedures and reconcile general ledger accounts
- Process accounts payable/receivable transactions and manage vendor/client communications
- Support audit preparations by compiling financial documentation and schedules
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP) for data entry and report generation
- Analyze financial data trends and assist with budget forecasting processes
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and IRS regulations for all financial activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)
- 0-2 years of professional accounting experience or relevant internship
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks preferred)
- Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping principles
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to numerical accuracy
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration
- CPA candidate or willingness to pursue certification
