Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements, ensuring GAAP compliance and regulatory adherence
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes with meticulous attention to detail
- Develop and implement robust financial controls to mitigate risk and enhance operational efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning
- Conduct in-depth variance analysis and provide actionable insights to senior leadership
- Manage audit processes, liaising with external auditors and ensuring timely resolution of findings
- Mentor junior accounting staff and optimize financial workflows through process improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA/MBA preferred
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with public accounting or corporate finance background
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, NetSuite, and Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs)
- Deep expertise in GAAP, tax regulations, and internal controls frameworks
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights
- Proven track record of leading audit processes and implementing financial systems
- Strong communication skills with ability to present financial information to diverse stakeholders
- Experience with multi-state taxation and nonprofit accounting a plus
