Responsibilities
- Prepare and reconcile monthly financial statements including balance sheets and income statements
- Assist with accounts payable/receivable processing and bank reconciliations
- Support tax preparation activities including data collection and documentation
- Conduct internal audits and ensure compliance with GAAP and SOX regulations
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage) for transaction recording
- Collaborate with senior accountants on special financial analysis projects
- Maintain organized digital and physical financial records
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (2023-2024 graduates encouraged)
- 0-2 years of accounting internship or academic experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic accounting software knowledge
- Strong attention to detail with numerical accuracy skills
- Effective written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Basic understanding of GAAP principles and tax regulations
- Relevant coursework in auditing or financial accounting preferred
