Responsibilities
- Perform monthly reconciliations for bank accounts and credit card statements
- Assist with accounts payable/receivable processing and invoice verification
- Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules under supervision
- Contribute to month-end closing procedures and reporting deadlines
- Maintain organized digital and physical financial documentation
- Support audit preparation and compliance documentation
- Utilize QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel for data analysis
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (graduating 2023 or 2024)
- 0-2 years of accounting internship or part-time experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (vlookups, pivot tables)
- Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar accounting software
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Valid New Mexico driver's license for occasional client visits
