Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records including general ledger entries and account reconciliations
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement preparation
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions with precision
- Conduct bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow activities
- Support audit processes by gathering documentation and preparing schedules
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage) for data entry and reporting
- Collaborate with senior accountants on special financial projects
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and Illinois state tax regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (recent graduates encouraged)
- 0-2 years of accounting internship or entry-level experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (vlookups, pivot tables)
- Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar accounting software
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
