Responsibilities
- Perform accurate month-end closing procedures and reconciliations for general ledger accounts
- Assist in preparing financial statements and regulatory compliance reports
- Process accounts payable/receivable transactions and maintain vendor records
- Conduct internal audits and ensure adherence to GAAP and SOX compliance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budget forecasting and variance analysis
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP) to maintain accurate financial records
- Support tax preparation processes and documentation requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)
- 0-2 years of professional accounting experience (internships acceptable)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks preferred)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Basic understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Professional certification (CPA eligible or in progress) is a plus
