Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures including journal entries and reconciliations
- Manage accounts payable/receivable cycles and process vendor invoices and client payments
- Support tax compliance activities including sales tax filings and document preparation
- Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure financial accuracy and regulatory compliance
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage) and Excel for data analysis and reporting
- Collaborate with auditors during external financial examinations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (recent graduates encouraged)
- Basic knowledge of GAAP principles and accounting standards
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, financial functions)
- Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle)
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks
- Professional certification (CPA, CMA) preferred but not required
