Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries and month-end reconciliations
- Assist with accounts payable/receivable processing and bank statement reconciliations
- Support audit preparation by gathering documentation and ensuring compliance with GAAP
- Contribute to financial reporting through journal entries and variance analysis
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage) to process transactions and generate reports
- Collaborate with senior accountants on special projects and process improvements
- Ensure data integrity and maintain strict confidentiality of financial information
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 0-2 years of professional accounting experience (internships accepted)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic accounting software knowledge
- Strong attention to detail with ability to identify discrepancies
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- QuickBooks certification preferred but not required
- US work authorization required
