Responsibilities
- Assist with daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes by preparing necessary journal entries and schedules.
- Prepare and analyze basic financial statements and variance reports.
- File and maintain financial records, tax documents, and supporting documentation.
- Assist external auditors with data requests and documentation review.
- Reconcile credit card statements and expense reports for multiple clients.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or currently pursuing a CPA/CMA certification).
- 0-2 years of experience in an accounting role (internships welcome).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and basic accounting principles.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to spot discrepancies quickly.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
