Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Assist with accounts payable/receivable processing, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance
- Support tax preparation activities including documentation gathering and form completion
- Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with GAAP and IRS regulations
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero) for transaction recording and reporting
- Collaborate with senior accountants on forensic accounting and fraud detection procedures
- Participate in client meetings to explain financial findings and recommendations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA candidates preferred)
- 0-2 years of accounting internship or entry-level experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks/Xero software
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and basic tax regulations
- Exceptional attention to detail with numerical accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
