Responsibilities
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy in financial statements and reports.
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements on a monthly basis, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions in the general ledger system.
- Prepare and maintain supporting documentation for audits and internal reviews.
- Support tax preparation efforts by gathering necessary financial data and schedules.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and assist in budget preparation.
- Maintain accurate filing systems for both digital and physical documents.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (0-2 years of experience preferred).
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) is a plus but not required.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Attention to detail and the ability to work with large volumes of data.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for client interaction.
- Basic understanding of GAAP principles is highly desirable.
