Responsibilities
- Assist with month-end closing procedures and financial statement preparation
- Perform data entry and reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions
- Support audit preparation by organizing financial documentation
- Learn and apply accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP)
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives
- Adhere to GAAP standards and internal controls
Qualifications
- Recent accounting or finance graduate OR equivalent experience
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
- Willingness to pursue CPA certification (supported by company)
- Valid Illinois driver's license (if client site visits required)
