Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, cash flows, and industry trends to assess borrower creditworthiness
- Prepare comprehensive credit memoranda and risk evaluations for senior management
- Monitor existing loan portfolios and identify early warning signals of potential defaults
- Collaborate with relationship managers to structure complex commercial credit facilities
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements (SOX, FFIEC)
- Develop risk mitigation strategies and recommend portfolio adjustments
- Maintain accurate documentation in loan origination systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of commercial credit analysis experience in banking/lending
- Proficiency in credit risk software (e.g., Moody's RiskCal, FICO)
- Advanced Excel skills with financial modeling expertise
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial statement analysis
- Credit certification (CRCM, CCE) or willingness to obtain
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Experience with SBA and CRE lending a plus
