Responsibilities
- Assist with month-end closing procedures including journal entries and reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze financial statements for internal and external reporting
- Support audit processes by gathering documentation and responding to inquiries
- Manage accounts payable/receivable cycles and cash flow monitoring
- Maintain accurate financial records in compliance with GAAP standards
- Contribute to budget preparation and variance analysis projects
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP) for data management
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)
- 0-2 years of professional accounting experience (internships acceptable)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)
- Understanding of GAAP principles and accounting cycles
- Strong attention to detail with analytical problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of tax preparation or auditing procedures preferred
- Active CPA candidacy or willingness to pursue certification
