Responsibilities
- Perform daily and monthly account reconciliations for bank statements, credit cards, and general ledger accounts
- Assist in preparation of financial statements and regulatory compliance reports
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions with precision and timeliness
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures under supervision
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage) for data entry and report generation
- Collaborate with auditors during quarterly and annual reviews
- Maintain organized financial documentation and filing systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- 0-2 years of professional accounting experience (internships acceptable)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and basic tax concepts
- Excellent analytical skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Professional certification (CPA, CMA) preferred but not required
