Responsibilities
- Assist with month-end closing procedures including journal entries and reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze financial statements for small to medium-sized businesses
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
- Process payroll and ensure compliance with tax regulations
- Conduct audits of financial records to ensure accuracy
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage) for daily transactions
- Support tax preparation activities under senior guidance
- Document financial processes for operational efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 0-2 years of accounting internship or entry-level experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUP and PivotTables)
- Familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of GAAP principles and tax regulations
