Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Perform reconciliations for bank accounts, accounts payable/receivable, and general ledger entries
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Support audit processes by gathering documentation and responding to inquiries
- Process payroll and maintain employee expense reports
- Implement and improve accounting controls to ensure compliance with GAAP standards
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks/NetSuite) for transaction processing and reporting
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (0-2 years experience)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with advanced formula knowledge (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- Familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite)
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards
- Exceptional attention to detail with high accuracy in numerical data
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client interactions
- Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Relevant internship or academic project experience in accounting preferred
