Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records and general ledgers using QuickBooks and proprietary accounting software
- Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes including journal entries and reconciliations
- Support tax preparation activities including documentation gathering and form completion
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and discrepancies for client reporting
- Collaborate with senior accountants on audit preparation and compliance documentation
- Process accounts payable/receivable and bank reconciliations with attention to detail
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives for financial workflows
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (recent graduates encouraged)
- 1-2 years of internship or academic accounting experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and basic tax concepts
- Excellent analytical skills with high attention to numerical accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Professional communication skills for client interactions
- Relevant coursework in financial accounting and taxation preferred
