Responsibilities
- Assist in the daily processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Perform bank reconciliations and prepare monthly financial statements.
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes by gathering and organizing financial data.
- Enter and maintain accurate financial records in the company's accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage).
- Prepare basic tax documents and assist in the annual audit preparation.
- Communicate with clients and vendors regarding invoices and account inquiries.
- Assist in the development and implementation of internal control procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or currently pursuing a degree).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in data entry.
- Basic understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
- Enthusiastic about learning and developing professional accounting skills.
