Responsibilities
- Perform daily bookkeeping tasks including accounts payable/receivable processing
- Assist with month-end closing procedures and financial statement preparation
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card transactions
- Support audit preparation and documentation requirements
- Process payroll and tax-related filings under supervision
- Maintain organized financial records in compliance with GAAP
- Collaborate with senior accountants on special financial projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent experience)
- 0-2 years of accounting internship or related experience
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
- Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of California tax regulations preferred
