Responsibilities
- General Ledger Support: Assist in maintaining the general ledger by recording daily transactions accurately.
- Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a monthly basis.
- AP/AR: Process accounts payable invoices and assist with accounts receivable collections.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and organize supporting schedules for monthly and annual financial reports.
- Compliance: Help ensure all financial activities comply with federal and state regulations.
- Assist with Audits: Provide documentation and support to external auditors during annual reviews.
- Software Proficiency: Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) to input and track data.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or currently pursuing a CPA).
- Experience: 0-2 years of experience in an accounting role, internship, or related financial setting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and accounting software.
- Knowledge: Basic understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Communication: Clear verbal and written communication skills for team collaboration.
