Responsibilities
- Manage and process daily accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with precision.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts, journal entries, and financial reports.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Perform month-end and year-end close procedures in accordance with GAAP.
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing requested documentation and data.
- Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) to track financial data and generate insights.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Proven experience as an Accountant or Bookkeeper within the last 2 years.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong knowledge of QuickBooks or Sage accounting software.
- Familiarity with GAAP and federal tax regulations.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
