Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger maintenance, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analyses for portfolio clients
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, IRS regulations, and industry-specific financial reporting standards
- Implement process improvements to enhance financial accuracy and efficiency
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax professionals during annual reviews
- Maintain detailed financial documentation in secure cloud-based systems
- Provide financial insights to support client business decisions and growth strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of hands-on accounting experience with QuickBooks and Xero proficiency
- Proven track record in month-end closing processes and financial reporting
- Expertise in payroll processing and multi-state tax compliance
- Advanced Excel skills with pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills for client-facing financial presentations
