Responsibilities
- Perform accurate daily bookkeeping, including sales and purchase ledger reconciliation.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all invoices are processed promptly.
- Assist with VAT returns and month-end financial reporting.
- Reconcile bank statements and identify discrepancies for resolution.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records in line with UK GAAP standards.
- Support the finance team with ad-hoc reporting and payroll assistance.
Qualifications
- Professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or AAT) or significant relevant experience.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage).
- Excellent Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
- Knowledge of UK tax legislation and double-entry bookkeeping principles.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
