Responsibilities
- Analyze credit applications and financial statements to determine lending risk
- Prepare detailed credit reports with recommendations for loan approval/denial
- Monitor existing portfolios for payment compliance and risk indicators
- Collaborate with sales teams to structure optimal credit solutions
- Stay current on industry regulations and compliance requirements
- Present findings to credit committees and senior leadership
- Develop risk mitigation strategies for high-exposure accounts
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business-related field
- 3+ years of credit analysis or underwriting experience
- Proficiency in financial modeling software (e.g., Moody's Analytics, RiskMetrics)
- Strong knowledge of FICO scoring and credit risk frameworks
- Certified Credit Professional (CCP) designation preferred
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills
- Ability to interpret complex financial data and regulatory documents
- Experience with SBA lending programs highly desirable
