Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and market data to evaluate applicant creditworthiness
- Prepare comprehensive credit memos with risk assessments and recommendations for loan approvals
- Monitor existing accounts for compliance with lending terms and identify potential risks
- Collaborate with loan officers and underwriting teams to ensure accurate decision-making
- Stay updated on industry regulations, economic trends, and credit policies
- Maintain detailed documentation of credit analysis and decision rationale
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in credit analysis, underwriting, or commercial lending
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling software
- Strong understanding of financial statements, cash flow analysis, and ratio calculations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client/stakeholder interactions
- Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
- Professional certification (CFA, FRM, or CRCM) preferred
