Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and cash flow projections to assess borrower risk profiles
- Prepare detailed credit memoranda and recommend loan terms to senior management
- Monitor existing loan portfolios for compliance and early warning signs of deterioration
- Collaborate with relationship managers to structure complex commercial lending solutions
- Stay current on industry regulations, economic trends, and portfolio performance metrics
- Develop risk mitigation strategies for high-exposure industries and special situations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business (MBA preferred)
- 3+ years of commercial credit analysis or commercial lending experience
- Expertise in financial statement analysis and cash flow modeling
- Credit certification (CRCM, CMB, or equivalent) strongly preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, Bloomberg Terminal, and loan origination software
- Deep understanding of SBA lending programs and New Mexico market dynamics
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and regulatory compliance focus
