Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive credit analysis and risk assessment for loan applications and credit extensions.
- Review financial statements, tax returns, and credit reports to evaluate borrower capacity and creditworthiness.
- Develop and maintain credit policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations summarizing credit findings and recommendations to the lending committee.
- Monitor existing accounts for early signs of financial distress and recommend appropriate remediation strategies.
- Collaborate with the underwriting team to streamline the approval process and reduce turnaround times.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in credit analysis, underwriting, or financial analysis.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and financial modeling.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
