Responsibilities
- Analyze Financial Data: Review financial statements, cash flow reports, and credit histories to evaluate the creditworthiness of applicants and existing clients.
- Prepare Reports: Create detailed credit memos and risk assessments that support loan approval decisions and underwriting processes.
- Monitor Risk: Continuously monitor account performance and identify early warning signs of delinquency to mitigate financial risk.
- Collaborate: Work closely with the underwriting team and sales representatives to provide expert credit advice and structure financing solutions.
- Database Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in our credit management system, ensuring data integrity and compliance with regulations.
- Industry Analysis: Stay abreast of economic trends and industry-specific risks to provide informed recommendations to senior management.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in credit analysis, underwriting, or financial analysis.
- Skills: Proficiency in financial modeling and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros) are essential.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of banking regulations, lending standards, and risk management principles.
- Attributes: Excellent analytical thinking, attention to detail, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Certifications: CFA, CPA, or Credit Risk Certification is a plus but not mandatory.
