Responsibilities
- Conduct Comprehensive Credit Risk Assessments: Analyze financial statements, tax returns, and cash flow data to evaluate the creditworthiness of corporate and commercial borrowers.
- Prepare Credit Memos: Draft detailed credit analysis reports and recommendations for loan officers and the credit committee.
- Monitor Portfolio Performance: Regularly review existing loan portfolios to identify early warning signs of deterioration and recommend remedial actions.
- Industry Research: Stay abreast of economic trends and industry-specific risks that may impact borrower repayment capacity.
- Collaborate with Lending Teams: Partner with loan officers to structure financing solutions that align with risk tolerance.
- Compliance Adherence: Ensure all analysis and documentation comply with regulatory standards and internal policies.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required; MBA or CFA certification is a plus.
- Experience: 2-5 years of experience in credit analysis, commercial lending, or financial risk assessment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial modeling and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Analytical Mindset: Strong ability to interpret complex financial data and make sound judgments under pressure.
