Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis of loan applicants, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Assess the creditworthiness of individuals and businesses using financial ratios, industry trends, and qualitative factors.
- Prepare and present detailed credit memos and risk assessment reports to senior management.
- Monitor existing portfolio performance and identify early warning signs of delinquency.
- Collaborate with sales and underwriting teams to structure loans that align with company risk policies.
- Ensure all credit files and documentation are complete, accurate, and compliant with regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in credit analysis, financial underwriting, or commercial lending.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and financial modeling software.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with core banking systems (e.g., FIS, Jack Henry) is a plus.
