As a Credit Analyst at Apex, you will play a critical role in assessing the creditworthiness of clients and ensuring our financial portfolio remains robust. You will work in a modern office setting with the autonomy to manage your schedule effectively.
Responsibilities
- Analyze Credit Applications: Review and evaluate loan applications, financial statements, and credit reports to determine creditworthiness and risk levels.
- Perform Risk Assessments: Develop risk models and strategies to minimize bad debt and optimize lending decisions.
- Monitor Credit Limits: Regularly review existing accounts to ensure they remain within approved credit limits and adjust terms as necessary.
- Prepare Reports: Generate comprehensive credit reports and present findings to senior management and underwriting teams.
- Compliance Management: Ensure all credit analysis activities comply with federal and state regulations and internal policies.
- Client Communication: Interact with clients to clarify information and resolve credit-related inquiries professionally.
- Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends and economic factors that may impact credit risk.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in credit analysis, risk management, or financial underwriting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and experience with credit analysis software (e.g., SAP, FICO, or similar).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to detect discrepancies in financial data.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly.
- Problem Solving: Ability to make sound judgments under pressure and solve complex financial problems.
